Said they were telephone preference service that were signed up to. Knew name and address. Said bills were paid by direct debit, card ending in 17. I said my husband sorts it so I ve no idea. Then wanted me to get a statement. I said no. I asked if my husband could sort it online but she didn t understand and kept offering to phone back.

I have had calls from this number, after a long conversation regarding data protection, I confirmed my address to discover it was for my previous address. The debt was from several years back that I thought was paid. This is not a scam, but people who are doing a job to get debt paid. You wouldn t walk into a shop and fill a trolley with goods and leave only paying for some of it. With debt we have either received the goods or service. Mine was for photos that I had forgot about

Anyone know who this is?

Just got a call from this number. The caller siad he was from the Call Blocking Service and claimed that they will stop the nuiscance calls you receive - for just ?40! I heard of this kind of scam before and ironically enough I m already registered with TPS - which is free, by the way. It s clearly a scam since these kind of services are usually free and don t require your credit card information.

FRAUD SCAM Recorded message claiming that my internet service would be disconnected due to my (unnamed) ISP detecting 'illegal' activity from my connection and inviting me to press 1 to connect to an 'executive'.

Claimed to be BT about our internet problems. There is a big problem, we don t have BT Internet.

I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. So far the numbers who have called me are as follows: 01978 638019 01978 638253 01978 638486 01978 638995 I just wish I had bought a better landline phone to block these and other nuisance spam

Called at 00.15am on 14/6. Hung up upon answering. Very sketchy.

If you get a call you should answer or call back as the problem is that the initial database maker sells your number on to other junk call companies. If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from. There are several negative comments with regard to this number, but I have to say that I am grateful for the call as they are in fact a company that are used by dentists that leave a recorded message reminding you of your appointment. I can understand some of the negative comments, but that is not the fault of the company as they can only respond to the telephone number entered and it only takes one digit to be mistyped for the wrong person to receive the call.
