phoned me twice now, was called at 8.50 am yesterday morning but told them i was about to get in the bath as i was going somewhere and needed to get readys,so they said they would call back.Called again today at about 3.45pm explained who they were and after about 3 minutes telling me i was being recorded for security reasons and asking what gas and electricity company and tarriff i was on the phone suddenly went dead so i pressume they put the phone down on me.But what i can gather it was Scottish Power te

I rang back with no reply so I tried again later from my landline.Guy answered and I explained I had received a call but they had put the phone down.He apologised and asked for my mobile number and when I gave him it he already knew my name so I asked where he got my number from.He said I must have filled something out online (which I haven t), however I did attempt to get a EHIC card but couldn t get onto the system so I had to do it

Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. This company are based in Brighton and are trying to get you to make charitable donations to various charities.... As I already donate to a charity of my choice I do not wish to be bothered by these types of calls. I m also signed up with TPS so shouldn t get them anyway... I found their direct number which is 01273 698697 and asked them to remove both my numbers from their database... Lets see what happens...
