Claim to have got number from national accident register. It is illegal under Privace & Electronic Communications Regulations & Data Protection Act (see ICO.org) to use personal data without permission, irrespective of whether it is on a list or not. I have reported them to ICO. You should too - it is the only way to get nuisance callers fined.

This number called me today and left a message on my answer service to say they were calling from HMRC and they were filing a lawsuit against me. I was told to press 1 to speak to my Case Manager. This was very frightening as I listened to this message just before going to bed at 11pm. I took a note of the number and googled it and this is when I came upon this site. I am a new Unite member. I have been receiving daily calls from this number. Based on the negative feedback, I have now blocked it.
Got a call today at 2.25pm from this number and a recorded message regarding PPI so i left the phone to one side as whoever it is is paying for the call.
