Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

I just got a call claiming (falsely) to be from this number, claiming (again falsely) that it was BT Openreach (or something). When I politely declined, the caller said (as they hung up) "Fuck you, fuck you in the face". Which may well have been the only genuine thing about the call. Out of curiosity, I called the (Bristol) number back, but the person who answered said they hadn't used their phone this morning (and sounded nothing like the first caller). Insurance This number is apparently from a Company called "Review your Policy" - I have been registered for many years with the TPS register which I understand telemarketing are obliged to check every 30 days to ensure the numbers they are ringing are not on this register - the young lady calling was not interested in engaging or apologising for unwanted call.

Recorded message saying suspicious payments made and someone had used my card on Amazon for £300, hung up before the end of the message.
Call center Received call June 2022. Stated they were calling about a social housing repair scheme and were there any issues with damp, outstanding repairs. I told them I was not in social housing and they asked if I owned my home. I said yes (to get them off the phone) and they hung up. When you call the number back you get an automated message for a company In Debt Services Management (nothing to do with social housing repairs). Beware of this company (sounds like an overseas call centre)

Called to offer me a iPhone 14 Pro Max & Samsung, didn’t get the model. Then asked for what phone I had. The woman had a very strong Indian accent so I had you keep asking her to repeat what she was saying. Eventually she gave up.

SCAM - Tried to convince me that they were calling on behalf of a government debt consolidation scheme. When I said I wanted to check the validity of the company, they tried to convince me that they were genuine. I pointed out to them that any genuine company would be fine for their customers to do due diligence and that the fact they were trying to stop me doing that just screamed scam. They hung up on me.

Fraud - claimed to be welsh government doing a survey on employment but the gov know my household is not employed due to sickness and being a full time carer The only companies are HMRC and DWP you should speak to, and they rarely call you without a letter to inform. Or, a letter reccomending to call them to resolve an issue. DO NOT TRUST. They will try collecting personal information.
Spam call. Tried to tell me they were from Currys PC World and peddle some phone upgrade. Not at Currys PC World customer, so why would they have my number, clearly fake. When I asked why they would contact me if I am not a customer they just hung up.
Amazon SCAM call phishing for your details. Automated call, apparently from “Amazon” saying I had placed an order to be delivered to a different address to mine for £749.00. The activity was suspicious so blocked my account. Logged into my Amazon account using the official app and there is no such activity.
