I played along for a bit to see what the scam was, and he offered to sign me up to a government backed scheme to clear all my outstanding debts, if I give him my bank account details. When I asked him how the government is going to clear it's own debts, he hung up.

When challenged on why and whether he was calling from Microsoft, he got aggressive. When I hung up, he called back. I told him to p*** off and called him.a revolting little con man.
