Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. This number has called me a couple of times. On both occasions the recorded message states that £700 has been taken from my card for Amazon and £2000 for another transaction. It asks you to press different buttons 1 or 2 to authorise or stop the transactions. On both occasions I hung up and checked my bank account and my amazon account. This is a scam. Be aware.

Fraud Phone company is investigating this number based in Yorkshire as they found it was linked to my pay monthly account. So knew my personal details and set up a new line! I only found out about it due to a different investigation regarding “crossed lines” or someone basically listening in on my calls! Not only were they listening to calls but seemed to know who I was, this by quoting my full name before the call connected. I ONLY ever phone anonymously! ...we shall see...

Number unknown to me, so did not answer. No voicemail left, so assume it was a sales/spam call.
Comes up as suspected spam. Guy with an Indian accent said he was calling from a South African call centre on a Manchester landline! Claims he works for a company called UK Tariff that finds out if you're paying too much for your broadband or finds better deals. Thing is this so called company harasses with calls like 24/7 from different numbers most of the day. Hoping you're gullible enough to get to the part where you hand over your bank details. Best way is to report and block if it flags as spam.

I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.
