We have received a number of silent calls from this company. f they are legitimate they are ignoring the TPS listings

Indian accent saying from BT. Warning I had a virus on my broadband. Tried to get me to share screen. Hung up when I said how could I be sure who they were.

Just asked me to confirm my name and then hung up when I asked who was calling

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Mine was a survey which popped up whilst online and I had to wait 20secs inorder to dismiss that advert. Enduring the agonising 20 secs. I live in Manchester. Just had a call from these people trying to guide me to allow them remote access to my computer to "fix problems". I knew it was a scam to rip personal info from my computer. Just wanted to share that they are now contacting phone numbers in the Manchester area - be warned

Said they were from Everest. I got rid of them ok but when I tried to block the number with BT it didn t even show as having rung me.
