Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16126501xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with automated telemarketer call - prize draw (you've won £500 or an iPad), PPI, life insurance. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

He then asked whether my computer was on and if I was using. When I suggested that he seemed to have my details and that he send me a mail, he hung up.

Received call from this company called 'Providor' who said they were representing Scottish Power for the installation of smart meters. They stated they are in the area and would we like our meter changed? I asked them to call back the following day whilst I checked this with SP. SP customer services asked if I could remember the name of the company, which I gave them, and they'd confirmed they are acting on their behalf. Therefore, this is not a scam.
