Be aware, the line is for shared costs, DO NOT call them back. Very similar numbers are already reported with life insurance, PPI, pensions - mostly scam to gain your personal info. I would recommend to block this number. Does someone have any experience with this one?

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17929179xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI / insurance mareting / energy schemes. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
Why is there no category for the "your computer has a virus" scam? These people claim to be from Microsoft technical support - hint, Microsoft has no way of knowing that you have a computer, let alone if it is infected with a virus - and want you to give them remote access to your computer to steal your data, or bank details, or lock up your computer and demand a ransom, or just plain scam you for "fixing" something that wasn t broken in the first place. I was to receive a call shortly to complete a short lifestyle survey at which point I put the phone down as we know what these surveys are like!!!!
