An automated message told me a warrent for my arrest would go out immediately if I did not answer the call by pressing one. The man told me he was from hmrc, asking if I was employed or self employed. He then said, after asking for my name, the call was made to the wrong person on the wrong number and hung up on me!

Persistence caller, rings around 4 times a day at different times, even though my answer machine takes most of the calls they keep calling. I then stated that if she couldn t answer the question then we couldn t speak further, so she hung up. SCAM text purporting to be Royal Mail, asking for a payment to receive a parcel held at the sorting office.
I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing.
