Claims to be from Amazon about Amazon prime - to discontinue press 1. As this is not showing as an Amazon phone number then suspect it is an attempt at fraud. Also noticing that the number is the same as my number except the last 3 digits are different so could this be a way to mask the actual mobile number?

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. A call from someone saying "card machine" and "what is your company name". They (whoever it was) called us! Foreign lady and there was a terrible pause on the line...
I've worked in customer service multiple times, one thing I've been told which is common sense is not to spam our customers with calls, maximum I'd call is 2 times for a single customer then stop. Whoever's number this is has been calling everyday for the past few weeks which is 100% a scam. They claim to be e-on which is fake because their number isn't on e-ons website + they wouldn't be calling everyday. This number has called several times, including 9 calls today. Young man called Chris - claiming he’s an energy advisor in this area. Answered once - told him I’m not the property owner and he hung up. Just answered - told him I’d already spoken to him and he just said “nice talking to you” and hung up.
