Fraud This number was given to a very vulnerable elderly friend of mine for her to confirm a transaction on her debit card. Fortunately her bank did not sanction the transaction. The number is for a hotel in Vietnam!

Call to my rarely used mobile at 1812 on Weds 03 May 23 Caller Karen asked for me by name and went on to ask about my life insurance Very noisy call centre in the background make hearing difficult Told her not intersested and hung up Same number also called at 1742 on previous day not answered and shown as missed call
calling a company support line and refused to offer a reason why.
It reported to be from Santander fraud department, asking to reply y or n to a text about an attempted purchase at Argos. Blocked the number and reported it as SPAM.
I think this is a scam number. Recorded American accent saying HMRC and that a fine would be implemented and to press 1 to speak to someone. Obviously I didn’t, line then went dead !!
This is just ridiculous. I guess UK just likes to have scam callers calling all around the world. UK providers should do something about this!!!!
