A foreign sounding voice asked me information about my computer, I refused to let them know anything as they sounded Eastern European, not Geordie if they came from Tyne and Wear.

Received call saying they were from E-on and our energy supplier - checked with Accounts Dept and they are not.

Silence then but of background noise before they hung up.

Said they were from the Internal Revenue Service and that there was a warrant for "your arrest". No names.

We received a silent call from them which locked our line for a few minutes even when we put the phone down and pick it up again. We dialed 1471 and got the above number which I called on my mobile but withheld our number and they identified themselves as the above company, as soon as we got the name, we hang up. Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.

Keeps ringing then puts phone down
