This is the same guy who was using 03444027286 a few weeks ago and pretending to be calling from E-on trying to get info about our new supplier, which E-on would already have so we knew he was a scammer before we even googled his number. He tried to insist he was from E-on again but eventually gave up the pretence after I told him that he was the same caller from before and told him what he had tried to do last time and we weren t falling for his scam..

I called it back and it rang for 1 ring and again it hung up. checking my phone records I've had a few calls and it is a, "Recently had an accident call" . This a nuisance call. I called the number and got a series of requests for Bank, account number, long card number, expiry date, three number security from back, date of birth and mobile number. I provided a series of random numbers and the message continued that I would receive a text and to follow the link. No doubt this would have led to another attempt to extract ID information.

Caller vaguely identifies as from a motor insurance service and refers to the details of a recent accident and car repair. Caller then goes on to attempt to gain further details but becomes persistent when no interest shown in product/service/enquiry. Caller will state that the call is part of a legal duty to follow up. This number is one of many used to telemarket similar products/services.
Just some info for you. By law, if you receive any more than four phone calls from the same number, it is harassment and can be reported to the police. I had another number calling me up to six times a day and rang the police to see what can be done. I have just received two phone calls from this number and have not answered.
