John Wilkens claiming to be from BT and wanting to tell me that my internet connection has been observed to be downloading malicious software without my knowledge.... gave his BT id number as BT 00698 J. Strong Indian accent and very noisy background. Dialed back but call failed.
Automated message saying it was inland revenue and there was a fraud case against my name! Payg phone number, no fraud case against my name at all! Told me I had to press 1 to get my details, nope, no way am I gonna do that!
Called me then hung up as soon as I answered. Could well be a scam that relies on people calling back.

Just received a call from this number. I have had this before and I fell for it. He sounds like someone from an Indian call center except with fake background office ambiance. He will say your computer is at risk and is pinging their server and you need to do (X) in order to secure your computer. He will take you through a process that will seemingly prove to you that your computer has issues when im sure the stuff you fish out of your computer is normal. They are a legitimate company investigating package bank accounts before the year 2013. Their office is based in Leeds and they are NOT a scam. Their company is registered. When I answer the phone it takes a while for them to start speaking.
