Caller said that a large transaction had taken place on my credit card to an overseas company. Did not identify themselves nor ask who I was. MUST BE A SCAMMER

Yesterday afternoon (30.09.2014) I entered my details and mobile number on a site I was purchasing goods from through Amazon. Within the hour I received a call from this number. I didn t answer it as I didn t recognise the number. Instead I did a search for the number and came across this site with the exact same number identified as being related to a scam. I blocked the number straight away...

Muppets have called me twice in Gateshead,

They are based on wharf industrial estate in bury, Manchester and Blackburn. The staff who call have no idea, nor choice of who they ring as the system selects a number at random from their data, and only when the line opens do they see your name and address etc. They are legitimate in terms of what they are offering (a free hearing frequency test at your local football club/hotel) however, if you will receive any money should a claim be successful is questionable. We are ex-directory and registered with TPS. This number called us at 7.15 a.m today, 7.45a.m and then continually throughout the day.mwe have had to disconnect our land line because of them . They should be sued. We are disgusted by this harassment.

The caller said they were from Fedex and asked if we wanted to keep our account to America open. We don t have an account with Fedex. Caller passed on this telephone number and asked for someone to call them back later. That s a Post-it note that is being scrunched up and filed away...
