Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.

They phoned me to say they were Microsoft Specials. Told me my PC had a fault - possibly Virus Infected - and first tried to access my PC via Teamviewer. A foreign sounding voice asked me information about my computer, I refused to let them know anything as they sounded Eastern European, not Geordie if they came from Tyne and Wear.

Randomly called, not in so went to answerphone, no message left. If it is British Gas, I have never and will never an account with them, so must be marketing in addition to debt chasing as indicated above.
