I have received 2 computer generated messages about an Amazon account from this number. On the surface it appears to be a local number but I believe it is a scam.

THIS TEL. NO. 0208 064 1448 HAS CALLED ME SEVERAL TIMES RECENTLY. SIRLUTE SHOWS ON MY PHONE AS THE CALLING COMPANY. I HAVE GOOGLED THIS NAME AND IT IS APPARENTLY A CHARITY. THE PERSON CALLING SAYS THEY ARE FROM A COMPUTER SECURITY/ANTI VIRUS COMPANY.
Scam Number... When answered, you hear the "hiccup" meaning you were on an Autodialer and because you've answered, the "hiccup" sound is where the computer is connecting a scam agent. Personally, any call I hear that sound, I hang up, search the number and 9 out of 10 times (9/10) end up Barring the Number. Hope this helps.

This account is in my daughters name, also if I want to speak to someone it said to dial 1, which I did and got an Asian sounding voice. When I tried to explain she cut me off. Amazon SCAM call phishing for your details. Automated call, apparently from “Amazon” saying I had placed an order to be delivered to a different address to mine for £749.00. The activity was suspicious so blocked my account. Logged into my Amazon account using the official app and there is no such activity.

It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. Our phones silence any unknown numbers but as no voicemail messages were left we are assuming the calls weren't important.
