I have an answering machine so don t pick up if I don t know the number but I am aware of these numbers from sites like yours. They are a nuisance and need to be stopped but I can t see who will have the balls to do this. As this comes through on the business line it gets very annoying but have also had a few on the private line and this number is not given out except to friends. Get a grip ofcom!!

Wanted to know about my accident but had no information regarding this presumed accident. Redialing the number, it is unobtainable. Woman got very defensive and aggressive when a report to TPS (Telephone Preference Service). She did agree claims were liable to reduction for commission. Thetford number with northern accent. I AM complaining to TPS and anyone accepting complaints about deceptive worrying cold calling.
Initially missed the first phone call so I called back. Some foreign guy answered and said he was from the HMRC and that I was due to pay £1260 from a previous tax audit. I told him that I don't believe him. He then said that if I don't believe him then "someone" would come to my door and take me into custody, LOL. Still said I do not believe him and asked where he got my details from, he hung up the phone. I phoned back to which a different foreign gentleman answered to which I told him that I don't believ
Asked if we had a gas boiler & was it over 7 years old. I got them to confirm that we had not asked to be contacted, said that we were TPS registered and that they were breaking the law. Was told that they would remove our number from their list (of course, they should have checked before disturbing us.)
