I have had a spate of these from various numbers in the last few days, with the same female-voiced, automated message, warning of "suspicious" payments made from my bank to Amazon and international transfers. the usual "press 1" to acknowledge the message, "press 2" to speak to someone. blocked.

I had a call to say my gas meter engineer was in an accident and had to rearrange for next week. Strangely I had a call from the engineer 15 minutes later to say he was on his way and knew nothing of an accident. I can't help but feel suspicious .

Cold call claiming to be about my Life insurance from "MEH", they had my name but no details as to who my provider(s) were. Talking about issue of not being covered due to non-disclosure for older policies. Claimed not to be sales, but during the call I did hear in the background applause and cheers (which indicates someone did make a sale in the same room). This number called me at approx 11.27 am. Caller addressed me by my first name but that was all I could understand, the noise going on in the background (His) drowned out everything else he was saying. I would describe the noise as though he was calling me from a very busy PUB. I told the caller this and hung up. No attempt was made to call me back. SCAM

After the worst experience of my life dealing or rather " attempting " To deal with Scottish Power it is a whole new experience dealing with British gas lite ,the simplicity surrounding B/gas is very nearly faultless , enter readings , receive bill online in minutes , pay by direct debit , wonderful the only fly in the ointment on a couple of times my meter readings were not as b/gas expected.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from "blockchain". Very hostile. Clearly a scam. Also, got the wrong name when they called.
SCAM call from a company Estate Plan (not to be confused with legitimate company Estate Planning) about care home fees and if I own my own home. I simply put phone down and blocked number. Guy was very well spoken, good English but came across as very forceful/aggressive. Beware of engaging in any conversation.

Possible life Insurance scam, someone called me about life insurance and that terms had changed and i should move my policy to one of their others as i may not get any payout at the end of policy,they knew insurance provider, name d.o.b address,,this may well be real but i was not taking a chance as they sounded asian ( Sorry if this offends but most scammers seem to be asian etc,) ended call and blocked number, im sure my insurance company woud send me a letter advising me anyway.

The call was in relation to a card payment. The call seems fradulant as the card type mentioned was visa and this was wrong.
The caller rang of as soon as I answered. Therefore I suspect some Sort of sales rubbish or scammer. They will not get a chance to mess me about again as I am blocking the number. I hate this method of trying to sell things to the general public. Most of my peer group no longer answer their land line or their mobile if the number is not in their phones contact list.

Ok seems like this number has called people starting on 23March 2023. As do not no anyone in Dagestan or Russia for that matter i did not answer. They left no voicemail as regards why they phoned so treating it as a scam and blocked it.
