It was a recording saying charged for amazon. I spoke to man on other side after I explained I was a woman not a man then the abuse I got was off the scale. He said I will die soon coz I'm old and do I really like doing the things I do with men. I just put the phone down. I am so angry. When I searched this number it is saying furniture shop in Walsall.
I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

Somebody purporting to be "Ellie from Options" texting me about my non-existent job application, asking for my address, email address, national insurance number, copies of passport, birth certificate, proof of national insurance, copy of my Cscs card (whatever that is!) back and front, 2 x working references. Called saying i had two transactions against my visa card they believed were suspicious. One from amazon for a small amount and another for someone else for over 1k. asked me to press some buttons to agree or query these transactions, not a chance thanks.

An Indian man claiming to be from Currys PC World who had an iPhone offer for me with for so and so a month, unlimited texts, I stopped listening at this point. I said no thank you, I don't want an iPhone and he hung up. Clearly nothing to do with Curry's, just some chancer trying his luck.

This phone number is given by a untrustworthy website Falinas, located in Denmark. On their customer contact phone number is +44 2045200465. Thousands of clients who have lost SO much money cannot use this number as its clearly a UK number.
when is this system going to be updated to cope with the fact that displayed and 1471 numbers are not reliable? This number called me at 09:30 on a bank holiday and followed the usual fake call centre routine of no-one there to start with then suddenly burst into life (and I hung up beofre hearing what they had to say). I don't believe for one minute it was the genuine BFM office, they would have no reason to phone me even during normal working hours. Faked number!

My policy is this - I never answer calls from private or with held numbers, and if a number shows up, but is not listed on my phone I still won`t answer the caller. My phone is for my use, not others to maybe scam call me.
