Do not answer. My number is registered with the MPS (Mobile Preference Service) yet they still called. Claimed that they are from Assured Legal and that they are calling about an accident I recently had (not true). As soon as I tried to explain that their records were incorrect they hung up on me. Phoned at 13.20 29 April purporting to be from Halifax Fraud department stating there had been suspect activity on my account and requesting various card details in order to cancel the transactions. I called the Halifax Fraud number and cancelled my card.

Rang today, when I asked why they had called me and how they received my mobile number he just continued with PPI refund speech. Again I explained that I don t have loans or a mortgage so he then began to question me as to if I knew what PPI was as I must have signed up for it. Rude and don t take no for an answer so next time they call I am going to blow a whistle down the ear piece of my phone.
