Answering this number gives rise to a recorded message threatening legal action and arrest for tax evasion, and an option to press a number for further action. I rang off, but this looks like a dangerous phishing call that is after personal details (banking details). As it comes from a Westminster landline it should be easy to trace and shut down. It should be investigated by by the police.

SCAM they want your sort code and bank account number to stop scam phone calls at a one off cost of £183:99, they call themselves DATA COMPLIANCE and give you a telephone number for Cardiff 0292 000 8716. They started getting very angry when i asked them to supply paperwork and she was shouting at me down the line....which was when i hung up.

I received a call for this number that is saying that im involved in a fraud. they only inform me what fraud I was involved with if they I will tell them my full name and address. I refused to give my details and they said if I refuse they will send a police to arrest me.

Just got one. Calling about my "minor road collision" I haven t had one so this is definitely illegitimate. When I asked who was calling they rang off. The chap was definitely Scottish so this probably is being run out of ScotlandEdinburgh. Thought we had laws against it!

Do not answer. My number is registered with the MPS (Mobile Preference Service) yet they still called. Claimed that they are from Assured Legal and that they are calling about an accident I recently had (not true). As soon as I tried to explain that their records were incorrect they hung up on me. Pension review - The welsh accented caller advised that I hadn t had a pension review recently . She knew my name. I advised her that I hadn t opted in for these sort of calls, and besides she was obviously lying about the state of my pension. She told me I HAD opted in as she knew this ! I asked her where she obtained my details and she told me from a company called Digital Marketing . I then asked her the name of HER company so I could issue a formal complaint, at which point she hung up.
