I live in Scotland, he's calling from London claiming to be a big phone store. They would never ring me like that, nor you either. How could he have got my number legitimately? He immediately went into "what phone are you using?" Obviously looking to sound like he could choose an upgrade whilst scamming you out of the cost of the non-existent

call from this number Monday 6th March at 13.50 when an automated voice said I was about to spend £700 + on an Amazon order and that they had halted the transaction pending my pressing button 1. I smelt a rat and hung up then Googled the number to find this site. I'm confident it was a hoax.
I don’t answer unknown numbers so I don’t know who this is. However, I did block a similar number a few days ago when I was expecting a call from a doctor and accidentally answered an unknown number. It sounded like a young-ish black man and I told him I wasn’t interested in what he was selling. Then I blocked the number. This is a very similar number.

Received a test similar to other reviews about a Loan from Everyday Loans/George Banco/TrustTwo. However, it gave the correct reference number for the loan that I have with them included. Link included shows as a link to their legitimate website to a letter sent to former/current customers about them participating in a scheme to avoid the business going insolvent

Not a scam, it's fine! Was told it was HSBC and was asked to verify my identity by the agent on the other end. I let them know I would call back directly to avoid a scam and she said okay, she would put a note on my file about it, and ended the call. I called HSBC directly through their official phone line and asked about it and they DID find a note on my file - it was totally legitimate! If in doubt go ahead and call back anyway, it's good practice, but don't ignore this number because it is actually real

Someone from this number called my sister at approx 13.05 today. My sister is undergoing extensive jaw rebuilding procedures after having mouth cancer and cannot speak properly. It says this is Clearanswer, a marketing company and one of BTs partners.....comments from the general public seem to suggest otherwise. A very foreign voice suggested my BT contract was coming to an end. I don’t discuss new contracts with a cold caller. When I said it wasn’t due to be renegotiated she hung up...not the sort of thing a genuine person would do.

This number is clearly a scam stating taxes are owed & legal proceedings will be started. 1. The terminology (& robotic voice) is American. 2. HMRC will never phone you. They will message you to go to your on-line account.
