I received a text message from them telling me I owed them over £90 and to contact them regarding the issue. After speaking to O2 previously, they informed me that the number did not belong to O2; and because of this, I decided to do a little digging. After typing random numbers into the keypad when it asked for a mobile number, I was patched through to a lady called Tracy in their south African call centre for O2 (supposedly) telling me the outstanding debt of £90 odd quid was outstanding (which is bulls**

Said they were calling to offer me a cheaper rewnal on my TV warranty of which I said I have not had any guarantees out on my TV for the last 10 years so they must have got false details.

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

This number has called me on several occasions and leaves no message. Call back the number and it s a message from LVM on behalf of a client. Telesales. You can call them back on 0800 013 6675 and remove your number from their services. It takes up to 5 days
