Call from 01315169880, when I called the number was told it was Boots Optician and they new my name. Immediately offered to make an appointment for me, I declined. SCAM - The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! This was a computer generated call trying to sniff out voice lines. If you answer then the line will be detected as 'a voice line' and you'll be called back later by a con-artist. They may also be quick to say they are not selling, simply enquiring, surveying, etc. THESE CALLS ARE SCAMS & HARASSING. If ever in doubt tell them to write to you, but DON'T give your address, if genuine they should know it, or just hang up!

Caller said they were from O2 and had been looking through their monthly contracts to offer a 40% discount to subscribers. Said they would send an email and 2 codes to my mobile for me to claim. I don't have a contract with O2!! Also had a call from 01233 542989 this morning but couldn't answer it - seems like the same company. SCAM Says they are working for Visa and two transactions on my account are possibly fraudulent. She would not tell me which card it was on until she has access to my computer. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THEM. I told her it was a scam and she put the phone down. Actions speak louder than words!

All reported here. ANYONE got any suggestions please?

Spoke to a bottom feeder on the end of this phone. He was abusive and rude. When I asked who he was he kept giving a nonsense name. When I asked to remove my number he pressed for more of my details. This is one of many numbers (the last digit keeps changing) Scumbags - share nothing with them

Pretending to be my heating insurance provider offering a lower rate. When I pushed for a company name it was similar but not quite the same as it should have been. They had my details!! Possible scam.
