I got a call from this number today, 06/03/2023, from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, I was offered a 20% discount for the last 12 months of my contract. When they asked for my name and address I ended the call. They had a strong Indian accent. I contacted Vodafone who confirmed is was a fraud.

This is a scam number the called my uncle pretending to be from Amazon saying that they had taken £95 from his account by accident and if he gave them his details they would refund the money. Fraud. Got a text supposedly from GOV.UK with an https// click-in, advising me that they have identified me as being eligible for a discounted energy bill under the energy bill support scheme. Mmmm how did they know my number? why didn't I get an official letter/mmmm. No surprise really it's a fraud scam, the government doesn't text you to tell you they are giving you money,and as far as I know will never do this anyway. Why aren't they traced and shut down?
