I have 3 calls already to day(it’s now 2pm). A foreign sounding man claiming to be from Open Reach wanting to check my internet connection. I have hung up each time.

It is payday UK. It will be to discuss any outstanding loan you have/remind you of any upcoming payments. I ignored the call most of the month - finally answered it today and they refused to discuss with me as I would not pass DPA. I went on to live chat on their website whom confirmed the call was from them - I have recommended they add the number they call from to their website as google search shows it as a telepest rather than a genuine call. Just received a call from this number on my home phone. The man had annindian accent and said his name was Paul Simon and that the call was regarding a car accident! He said I could get 5k! I suppose he wanted my bank details?

Usual Indian accented person calling me from Talktalk to save my computer from a major disaster. Phoned and asked for MD by his first name, totally annoying that they think they are buddies and don t have to use the last name. When asked for full name they do have it so why not use it in the first place. Trying to find out insurance renewal date, politely told them that we are not willing to discuss.
