This is a cold caller first thing in the morning, asking what i had in my loft. Denied being a cold caller or nuisance caller. Saying i would benefit from this call. Which i understand to be against the law to do un the UK. I demanded to know where she got my details from. She said it was from the.. P.. Somethinf data base company.. So probabky paid for it.... Called me 6 times in the past 3 weeks. I have missed all the calls as they happened when I am working. They have never left me a message which makes me assume either dodgy or cold calling. After reading other people's comments below I have blocked the number - if it is green peace as some suggest then I have no idea how they have got my number. I have never donated to Greenpeace however I may well have signed petitions but I don't think you usually give out your phone number when you sign a petition

SCAM. Caller pretended to be a big company with an unpaid bill. Did not understand my business or why I would owe money (I don't owe them, have never bought from them). I nicely explained I knew this was a scam and she was trying to steal money. She then OFFERED to delete my number from the database!

"Hi. I'm Chris, your local Energy Advisor for your post code area..." I cut him off and asked what the post code was - he couldn't/wouldn't tell me so I told him he was a liar and scammer and hung up. Because of the silence between me answering and his speaking and the clicks as his call was connected, the call was made from an autodialer, and was not made from a mobile phone as the number would indicate.

SCAM. FRAUD. Be very alert. When asked what CITY they are in, they said Merseyside in St Helens. I had no idea 0161 belongs to that area. Always thought it belongs to the Manchester District.
This is a scam. they try to get you to invest. they never give up and will use different numbers all over England. Each person who calls you is of Indian origins. Not possible in England not to have one person who is not and indian. Especially with Englands diversity. Just dont answer or hang up and block the number.
