Green Energy Together asking for a 25% upfront payment to secure our solar panel installation, they didn't introduce themselves properly so I didn't trust them and told them I'd rather stick to the agreement to pay on the day as originally agreed. They said I'd receive a confirmation email for the new install date but I didn't so I suspect this was a fraud caller.

Scam is to get Yr correct information name dob.. address and ask u for the 2 letter and 2nd 4th letter of your national insurance number then they say it does NOT match put u in fear that if u don't confirm correct details BTW now with NI BUT with 1st letter, 1st 3rd and last letter of NI. Convincing u if it was a scam why hv they not asked for bank details Ah so they can open account with Yr now given credentials.

Suggest you keep them hanging on the line as long as possible but don't download anything or give them your details. Just string them along and frustrate them. Apparently I was due to compensation £££m having been conned by Mecedes about emissions. Told him I had seven Mercs, was a little busy and could he just put the money into a plain envelope and leave it underneath a bench at Fenchhurch Street station without passing GO, and I would have my butler pick it up later. He cut me off without confirming. The number is now blocked. Sense a potential scam.
