I have been plagued by similar calls in recent times, and as my landline is quite new, only a handful of people actually have been given this number, therefore any unsolicited calls are clearly SCAMS

Grammatical mistakes in this (no space between "Aug." and "This"; no comma after "To disable this") and referring to "me" suggest spam call.
Foreign people in a call centre, I told them my email had been hacked and used to sign up to crypto currency and for them to delete my details.
