SCAM. I get two phone calls every day, and have done for a year. The number is different every time, but the organisation is the same. They appear to have a spoof number system that hides the actual number they call from.

A recorded message informed me that some fairly large debits had been made on my Barclaycard account and that I should press '1' immediately. (I didn't do so.) Checked my Barclaycard account and there is no sign of any such debits. I therefore concluded this was a scam.

Fraud - pretending to be from First Direct Fraud Team. It isnt. They will try to keep you on hold while they run "risk assessments" and other nonsense.

Fraud, recorded message, something about card transactions with Amazon for £300 and another international one for £1,300, asking you to press 1 to allow these to go ahead. This is in my view very dangerous.

SCAM. Trying to get you to add them on Whatsapp. No good will come from doing so. Ignore, report and block.

Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from "The Phone House Company" and wanting to upgrade me to a new iPhone 11. I asked how they have my number and she said from a shared database of all UK providers, although this would seemingly breach GDPR for sharing customer's contact details and wouldn't make sense for the businesses to risk losing customers this way. Called out of the blue by this number and voicemail left claiming supposedly that legal actions are to be taken against me shortly, press 1 to speak to someone. Called the number back and it doesn't accept incoming calls. on the face of it, appears to be a total scam.
