Warned of unusual transactions on my card including Amazon and international transfers. Unsubtle scam but using local number identity meant I at least answered the call.
I didn't answer this number, as I do not know it, I don't know anyone in London. It rang my mobile number, but never left a message , even though the answering machine kicked in. The map was not clear enough for me to see what part of London the call came from

When I answered their call, they asked who I was!! They then went on to say it was about payments made on an Airplus Corporate Credit card, I don't have one. I think this is a loft insulation scam (poor phone line). Female, ?middle-aged? voice, southern accent. Mentioned British Lung Foundation, Perhaps said that some loft insulation is [harmful]. I just repeated that I can't afford it ; caller talked over me then terminated the call.........

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.
