I answered but said nothing. Caller then went into prepared speech.......local energy advisor, assume you're the homeowner etc., etc. I ended the call, called back and the number was invalid.
SCAM - A robot voice told me that £600 would be sent overseas from my card unless I pressed the '1' key to speak to someone. Didn't say which card, or which bank. I terminated the call, then tried calling the number. An answering machine announced that the number wasn't accepting calls. Obvious scam. I've blocked the number.
Claiming to be O2 and needs my one-time code sent by O2-UK to see if I am eligible for 40% off. O2 would not call me at 9:54 in the morning and send me messages to operate on a eligibility check on the spot, like dude, this is quite obvious scam, no?

Believed to be a scam call, no one at the end of the line when I picked it up. Just a recorded message about a bank account and some unusual transactions!
Called me twice stating he was from Microsoft and stated our computer was being hacked. on the second call he shouted, "Have I tried to sell you something... NO!!!!! Have I asked you for your bank account or for money... NO!!" I was very angry and gave him some nice new words to look up. There is no way he was a specialist from Microsoft!

After applying for a loan this company rang me multiple times a day i asked them to call me back after 6pm the first time as i was working and did want to see if they could help me but the I had 7 calls off the in 3 hours NOT one after the time I said I could answer, the following day the same company different number rang me 13 times between 10 am and 4:30 pm so i blocked those numbers, the following day i had a further 14 missed calls from this company off another 5 numbers. Pretending to be Three mobile - was rude and abusive when I told them that I was taking three to court due to previous levels of service, so I knew they would not be marketing me and that this is a scam. Asian call centre using UK phone numbers. BEWARE!
This number claimed to be from BT. The person said I may have a technical error in my broadband router. I disputed it and I asked the person to give me their number so I could call them back. I was told I could Google it and when I said I was not going to Google it and I asked again for their number the line went dead.

Fraud - received an SMS saying it was from the NHS and I'd been in close contact with someone who has COVID and to order a test from a link in the SMS. Stupidly, I clicked on the link, and entered card details for Postage of a PCR. RBS got in touch and cancelled the card, although 2 large transactions had been attempted. DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN ANY SMS OR ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.
