The caller immediately rang off without saying anything. Perhaps it was because I have got into the habit of saying "Hello" loudly enough to damage the eardrums when I get these unwanted interruptions. I rang back three times, purely for identification purposes. Each time I got a short recorded message and was then cut off. It was in an American accent. I am still little the wiser. He got very defensive when poiltely informed him i i wasn t interested, and to be honest he should have stopped at that point, but no, he just kept going on. Cold calling should be illegal as it is more often than not a form harrasement.

Very persistent calling 5 times in one day. Tried to get me to sign up again for a PPI check as apparently there are other criteria now which mean claims could be resubmitted as previous claims had missed important details.. or some such s**te
Claiming to be from virgin media and that they have been getting alerts from our hub and internet speed. Ask to check colour of lights on hub and to use a computer to enter an address so they can check and correct the issue. Dont logon computer or enter the address! Called 3 times in an hour different numbers and difffernt people. Checked with virgin media and its not them!

At the end of the end ,whether you are a British Gas customer or not , if you have not given British Gas your permission to call you , then it is a harrassment call. The other thing to bear in mind is , unless you make the call , how do you really know who it is who has called you? I am a British Gas customer , but as far as I am aware have never given them my telephone number , so beware !!
