Claims to be from BT saying we have a faulty line and they were going to cut off broadband unless we agreed to give them all our details so that they could confirm that it was the owner..Put the phone down and the broadband was fine, no faults, no cut off...SCAM

Scam - supposedly HMRC about a tax fraud in your name. Press 1 and be fleeced!
These people call most days, evenings and weekends make no difference. Always the same thing - they are conducting a survey on behalf of the government. Have no idea how to stop them as they don t seem to understand when you ask them not to call again!
i know i had a debt with lowells in the past via t mobile,but i paid it in 2009 and since the 1st of june 2013 to 30th september 2013 they have phoned me asking for someone else and they claimed i was the person who had the debt,the person is female but i am male !

This number is TowerGate Insurance brokers and to be fair I did attempt an online quote providing my contact number before they rang. I have marked as a telemarketer but all they tried to do was push for me to purchase online quote.
