Indian scammers posing as BT tech support. Ask them for your address. If they really were from BT they would know it They will say your computer showed up on their server as being hacked. If that was really the case then why don't they have your address? Ask them for your IP address as the only way your "computer" could show up on a BT server is with an IP address (except BT don't monitor for this sort of thing and wouldn't phone you up about it). Read out to me my name and address and when I confirmed these was going to pass me to her "supervisor" to complete a form. Asked her to tell me what brand of washing machine I've actually got. Unsurprisingly she hung up. Don't know what the scam was going to be but clearly there is one

Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.
