Utilities Said they were from Virgin media, Indian Accent, knew my name. Two calls from this number with a recorded voice message claiming £700 has been drawn on our account to Amazon and further £2000 cash transfer, then a couple of number options to press to speak to someone. Needless to say, I hung up. Yet another time-wasting and potentially dangerous scam.

SCAM Woman with strong foreign accent claimed to be from 'BT technical department' (immediately obvious not genuine) and said they had received notifications that my internet was being used by others fraudulently. Pointed out BT not my provider which she ignored, she then tried to guess some letters from my email to 'send me a verification' and when I said that wasn't my email, accused me of lying!!!! Presumably hoping I'd supply my actual email.

We received a call from 0141 555 4854 with a recorded message telling us of unauthorised transactions on our card? One was £300 for Amazon and then £1, something (I lost the will at this time). I could press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to the team. I have hung up ad blocked the number.but I know they can change the number to show anything they like. Why or why are the authorities not doing more to catch these scumbags.
