woman called me from this number asking me to confirm if i d had an accident with the last 2 years .. its a cold caller .. ive reported them to the TPS as my phone is registered there for spam calls.
Called one of our TPS registered lines, a moment or two after we had just got rid of an identical caller calling from 02081333432. They were again asking for the same person, who s name they appeared to have scraped from our website. Told that we wanted them to remove us from their call lists and stop calling us. 01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?

I think it is a scam
Number actually shows as 0019798234079 on caller ID but this site seems to drop the 00. This is a Windows security scam where they tell you that you have viruses on your PC and they can fix them for you. Didn t go along with it today and said to them that I suppose they were going to show me errors and warnings in my Windows event logs and they just hung up without any further comment. Hopefully they will remove me from their database if they realise I m too Windows savvy to ever fall for this.
