Had a cold call from this company claiming they were calling about "plumbing and drainage" (or something to that effect). She started waffling about my recent claim ....
Household appliance insurance. Said mine was being changed to cheaper company and then started to ask my bank details. Knew my name and address. Kept quoting some key number of something similar which meant nothing to me. Confident London female voice. When I said I d have to ring back got defensive and said would ring me. I refused and she hung up. Redialling the number gives unobtainable. She garbled the company she represented so I missed it and I assumed that she was with Legal and Domestic as I d had
SCAM / SPAM automated message from Amazon thanking me for purchasing an I phone. Terminated call at that point. Havent ordered a phone.
Couldn't find anything about the number so tried calling it back and recorded message said I'd dialed an incorrect number.
Have had several calls from this number, but it was blocked by BT and didn t get through.
4 times I have received this call this morning already - it shows call as 'international' and when I pick up there is just silence, then a long beep! Very annoying!

Rang tonight, claims to be from Lloyds Bank. Very plausible. Stalled him and rang Lloyds on my other phone, they said it was a scam. Cheeky devil even had the nerve to call back after I hung up.

PPI Calls from South African using Tel. No. 0161 814 2295, 0162 284 5443, etc and nearly drove me around the bend calling up to 6 times daily.
This guy called to say he s from Windows and my computer is hacked. He gave a licence number & wanted me to get on line to check it was the same as my computer s so he then could stop the hacker rather than having to shut my computer down. He then gave me his number to call back, got very forceful when I didn t and again when I said didn t have time to do it. Told him he was rude and hang up. Microsoft have nothing to do with this.
NEVER call these numbers back or you may get caught for a huge phone charge!

SCAM / SPAM Caller said he was from Domestic & General Insurance and was ringing as my cooker cover was due to expire - I've never had more than the standard warranty on my cooker, and it's older than the couple of years ago he said I'd taken out the policy. He knew my name and address and said the company was TPS compliant, but I'm TPS registered so that's a lie too.
