Our local Police advised us not to answer the phone if we do not recognise the number. This caller has called me at least 8 times in the last two days and doesn't leave a message on the answerphone.
British Transport Police (BTP) calling back regarding an incident I had reported. Confirmed with them that they are based in a Transport for London (TfL) office which explains why most reports state that these are TfL calls, but may in some cases be BTP.

left message on mobile claiming to be amazon checking on large purchase made from account wanting me to contact with authorisation code- called them back several times - from diff telephone no, and from withheld no, they kept hanging up on me when they realised I hadnt been taken in by their scam.. so i kept on calling them back - just to annoy them.. got to the point they hung up. knew was scam as same person answered the phone every time, anyone whos phone amazon , knows you NEVER get the same person :D

This may be a scam as the caller did not identify themself and just said my credit card has been used for 2 payments, I think £800 and £2000, and to press 1 to talk about it. I ended the call immediately.
SCAM. An American voice recording said it was to confirm my Amazon order for £398 had been charged to my card, presumably to get me to call back on a premium mobile number.

Hotel Resorts again using a local number for robo calls. I block them, and very quickly they change their called ID info to another local number.
Telemarketing They try to get you do lotto online by giving you very good deal play first n pay later. I dont wanna deal with it, then they hang up. They was calling me 3 times today.
