Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16181424xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with traffic accidents,pensions, life insurance - again these three together. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Fraud - someone stating on am automated message that being put on a criminal list for tax invasion and that they are going to arrest me with a warrant. - Hate scam calls like this - Some people out there would really panic at this.
This caller knew my name (but not my correct surname- so not bonafide) and claimed that they had my information because I had been involved in an accident and they were handling the claim. I have not. And when I told the man this, he changed the tack and claimed that someone else had given me as as a contact for their own claim. Nonsense. No one would have done that, or know to do that (the mobile number is not readily available). Three hours later they rang again and, when I answered, hung up. H
