The caller said that they were from the National Grid and needed to change my meter. Apparently it is malfunctioning. This is a prelude to trying to get my bank details I thin; I didn't hold on for long enough to find out.
I've had a text message from this number saying "Let's chat on WhatsApp!", with no introduction to say who the message is from.

08009555544 - TALKTALK - Moving elsewhere but getting frequent attempts to get me not to go. Shame they didn't have any other contract options for me from my account (NEVER DID, EVER - month in month out year in year out). I had to leave to get their attention, chronic customer service and I think illegal given, from OfComms rules. Always a Blant - "HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING YOUR DETAILS / SYSTEM NOT REPSONDING ETC ETC"
Like the previous person who reported this number, I also received a text message with the same message. Firstly, I am not expecting a parcel. Second, I too am always in. Message on my answerphone to say a money transfer had been made from my card (did not say which) in excess of £1000 which was unusual. Same message, and same voice, as made to my phone from 01491576783 yesterday so looks like a scam gang doing the rounds. Watch out.
