A south african lady left a message with a colleague that she needed to talk to me about a private financial matter. When I returned the call, she was unable to tell me where she got my details from as her info was incorrect. Spoke to her manager Luke Taylor who was also unable to tell me where they got my details. Loads if calls at very inconvenient times. No one is ever there, i would like to tell them to leave me alone but cant ring the number back...
No-one said anything. I was surprised the number wasn't withheld. When I rang back an automated system said 'Please hang up' (twice) then cut the line.

SPAM: upon answering a recorded message played to state my NI number could be suspended due to my phone number having been associated with several illegal activities and I could be arrested and assets seized. The next prompt was to press 1 to speak to an officer. Needless to say I didn’t do anything of the sort and came straight here to report it!

SCAM - automated call saying I was under investigation by HMRC and there was a warrant for my arrest for non payment of taxes. Wanted me to press 1, which I didn't - can't be 100% sure but I expect they were after personal/bank details, in any case it's not a legitimate call.

They claim it's from a forex line and would I like to get involved in trading and invest £500 up front. I keep telling them no and then they start getting really angry. They start cursing and screaming and shouting. They're always from Turkey or Albania or Romania. Really unpleasant individuals - best advice is don't pick up. Just take the phone off the hook for about 20 minutes. They even phoned a few times in the middle of the night (Saturday night to Sunday morning) because I was unpleasant to them.

I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers.
