Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. I received a text on 26/02/2023 at 15:58 telling me my Facebook account was frozen and to use the 6 digit code for two-factor authentication I was given. I called the number later and got Tesco mobile voicemail.
07310218826 called 11Aug23 at 10:32hrs. Recorded message about unauthorised use of my Visa card. Lengthy message so I didn't wait for the end, sounded a familiar pattern. Hung up.
