This number called me at 16h33 on Tuesday 11th April 2023. Man with heavy Indian accent claimed to be from Microsoft. Said I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service so he shouldn't call me. Hung up, but he rang again and asked why I'd hung up. I said I'd already explained why, and hung up. He phoned a third time, and in a stroppy tone asked why I'd hung up. So I hung up AGAIN. For a fourth time, he phoned again. Didn't answer, and blocked his number. Obvious nuisance.
Number has been hacked, being used to scam - claiming unauthorised credit card use.

As soon as you reach pension age, they're on to you claiming that you requested a pension check online (didn't happen) they tried to call my elderly mother claiming they could offer her a lump sum payment if only she would grant them access to the account. I was in a different room but heard a voice coming from the phone. How can they do that? The voice had gone by the time I got to the phone and I was too far away too hear what it said, but I have now blocked it as no one I know would do that.

Had 3 calls so far today, 1 in morning 2 afternoon, all hang up after I pick up, regardless of wait time. No one knows my landline either, so don’t know how it’s being called unless it’s malicious. Other numbers that called to same extent were 01330 560922 and 01689 814765, both equally as perplexing.
A man said he has been trying to get hold of me and is from an Energy company. As I don't like calls out of the blue I told him put information in the Post and quickly put the phone down.

I received a phone from a person called Kevin representing Windows technical support from phone number 02045009692. He told me the usual nonsense about my computer but I told him that I was not interested as I had got rid of my computer because of these scam phone calls.
