The number will ring you and cancel the call before you can pick up, if you call back it will fail, most likely using a number spoofer.
Fraud This guy rang me pretending to be my Santander Bank. He said there seems to be some fraudulant activity on my account and I should move all my money into the main account and then he would change all my account numbers and sort codes He sent messages from 08000 123 123 and he confirmed Santander will always use this number as it uses the 123 from their 123 account. Remember: Your bank will never ask you to move money!

Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated

The exact number was 01340 831714. After searching it here, I called the number back. It has a BT call screener on it. A Scottish sounding older lady picked up the phone. I told her my name and said I'd had a missed call from her number at 7:47am this morning (3-3-23). Her reply? "No, not me, no you haven't" and then she put the phone down. Loft insulation scam. Call centre in the Philippines claiming to represent Insulate UK, who state on their website that they do not do telemarketing. Was given website of insulateuk.com, a conservatory manufacturer.
Someone who sounded asian rather than Armenian called and asked me to go to her website. There was so much background noise (usual noisy room full of scammers) I was unable to hear what she was saying except she asked if I bought and sold stocks and shares which I do. I told her I had never heard of her and trusted no one who cold calls me to sell me something. She said she had not told me what she was selling. I suggested she sent me an email as she claimed she knew all my details and hung up.
I don't know who called. Didn't pick up.
