NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital Clydebank - a genuine call(!) - am amazed, in this day & age... Didn't answer (due to spammers/cold-callers) - however they phone a week b4 to confirm appointments. Scam. tried to sell something, then when I said not interested, asking where they got my name and number, they changed what they were selling, becoming forceful. I kindly said that they should remove my details from their list and not call again, suggesting they were acting illegally, because I am listed in the TPS, then they slammed the phone down on me.

Called the number back and it was an automated message from Crown Glazing Ltd. It said I could hit 9 to remove my from their list...so I obviously immediately hung up and blocked the number!

I’ve just been called from this number claiming to be my credit card fraud check. It mentions two extremely high transactions, not made by me, then to press 1 to authorise or 2 to talk to customer service. I didn’t, I hung up, checked all my cards. Up till the 2/7/'22, I've found it to be from Paypal. I'm sick of computerised American accents, though, and I don't recommend them as a company, given my experiencees.
Rang about water supply -- intimated we were paying too much. When asked how they knew what we paid, started to bluster and said if I told them, they'd let me know if they could find a cheaper alternative.
Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!
