Fraud SPAM SCAM Told that I am being called from Visa Security Department saying that there has been a fraudulent purchase made for around £900 from my amazon or ebay account and whether I want to stop this fraudulent payment when no such purchase has been made or is even pending from my bank account. SCAM Second call in as many minutes all from Blackburn area telephone numbers. Supposedly from our Bank- 2 transactions this morning - one from Amazon for £300 and another for £1100 for International Money transfer - suspicious- if you didn’t authorise these press 1 to speak to someone- didn’t- now blocked.
SCAM - Call to my landline at 9.53 today. It was a pre-recorded message saying they were querying a suspicious Debit Card payment of £600 sent abroad. They did not say what bank or give any other details. I was asked to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to confirm. I hung up.
