Happened to me on Friday. Said I was a student and had no money and walked off... he even spoke the same language as me which was shocking and made him so believable...
Miss No idea who. Not Crewe phone number. Is Crewe area code, spoofed number. I ignored call. No voice message left. No text or email received either. Similar numbers have called before and I don't answer as end numbers after 01270 are not from within Crewe itself. I know as in Crewe myself. These are spoofed numbers calling landlines and mobiles in hope of catching people out if they know someone from Crewe and surrounding local towns that also use 01270 area code. SCAM. Claimed to be from Sky, checking Broadband speed but then wanted me to log onto a website (nothing to do with Sky) and input personal info. Couldn't tell me my name, address, or any info to confirm that they were genuine, except for a Sky account number which was wrong. When I challenged the operator they started off defensive and then became aggressive and abusive.
